I would like to introduce myself, my name is Jessica Austin and I am the face behind Piney Woods. I have been a stay at home mom 13 years to my husband Robert and I’s two wonderful children, as a stay at home mom I am fortunate to get to spend my days with my children but also our beloved dachshunds and horses. As a life long equestrian, horse breeding has always been apart of my life, that knowledge and experience gave me a plethora of skills to then transition into dog breeding. I started breeding Labradors almost 10 years ago, we always had dachshunds though and decided over time our true love was dachshunds and began building the fabulous program we have today. Our dachshunds are beloved members of our family and a huge part of our home and hearts. We still own and show horses, my daughter is a Reserve World Champion and I am incredibly blessed to be able to share my life long passion with my children and that my husband is so supportive of all of our endeavors.

Piney Woods Miniature Dachshunds LLC is nestled in the gorgeous Piney Woods of East Texas. We believe that breeding dachshund is not just a business, it's a passion. We are dedicated to breeding dachshunds that are not only healthy and happy but also reflect the unique personality and character of the breed. Our commitment to our dogs and our customers is unwavering, and we strive to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved. 

Our breeding program is designed to produce dachshunds that are healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. We carefully select our breeding pairs based on a variety of factors, including health, temperament, and conformation. Our dogs are raised in our home, a loving and nurturing environment, and we take great care to ensure that they receive the best possible care and socialization.
